Burruss, Sawyer Road Win Marietta Reads! Reading Bowl, Jan. 23

The A.L. Burruss Elementary Reading Bowl team placed first in the district Reading Bowl, and will now compete at the Regional Bowl. Special thanks to MILE teacher Carla Wallace for preparing the Burruss 4th and 5th grade team for the Bowl. A number of students read books selected from the Georgia Book Award nominee list, and met throughout the fall to discuss what they’d read in preparation for the competition.
The Sawyer Road Elementary Reading Bowl team placed second in the district Reading Bowl, and will also compete at the Regional Bowl.
